I'm excited to share some images from another delicious "NYC Eats" project with social media marketer and blogger, Clara Persis. This time we headed to Nourish Kitchen + Table in the West Village where the café's design is just as inviting as the food itself. You can also check out the full story on Clara's blog. Enjoy!
It's been on my list forever to photograph my favorite go-to places in New York City. So, I recently teamed up with my friend Clara Persis -- marketer, social media guru, and creative director of her own and lifestyle blog -- on a fun and delicious project. Cookshop in Chelsea (right next to The Highline) was the first on our list and I'm looking forward to sharing more posts like this with you. Check out Clara's Cookshop story and her blog for more inspiration!
OK, this post has cross-promotion written all over it but it's for a great cause! I had the chance to work on a really exciting project with two talented ladies, Meg McInerney and Katie Cappiello, founders of The Arts Effect theater company. They have a new play called SLUT opening at the Fringe Festival and I took the portraits of the ensemble. Here's a bit about the play from The Arts Effect: "SLUT addresses the intense impact of "slut" culture, gang mentality, and the over-sexualization of girls and women on communities. The play is inspired by the "world" and real-life experiences of 14-17 year old girls from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania."
My favorite event from the Tribeca Film Festival was Key Ingredients -- a private dinner hosted by the Tribeca Film Institute which took place at the Food Network Studios. I loved capturing all of the unique and intricate details of this event -- everything from the beautiful table settings lit by studio lights; the custom designed meals (and works of art!) that were crafted by restaurateur Danny Meyer; and guests such as Robert De Niro, producer Jane Rosenthal, and actor Dennis Leary.
I had the opportunity to co-shoot and produce this fun video with ad agency, SS+K. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
